just TiVo the game and do the opposite of what you usually do (watch the
commercials and skip the boring, boring football playing crap)

Is anyone else getting a bit tired of this guy advertising his blog here
(and there and there) day after day? I can stomach the first time so
that we know it exists, but I don't think a daily headline is appropriate.

No kidding. Seems he needs to keep spamming to get people to go look. That
alone should tell you that the idiot is a waste of time.

I hadn't noticed (I guess I'm becoming immune) but if I were to post a
complaint about his ad, I sure wouldn't repost his URL, too.

I agree. I won't read this guy's post. I won't feed the troll by
replying to this guy's post. This is the last time. Look, you're NOT
Entertainment Weekly and you'll NEVER be EW. Go spend a little money and
advertise your low-rent version w/ billboards and radio ads, etc. Not
here. :-p

Tivo'd manual recording with 2 extra hours padding at the end.

No telling what Paul McCartney might do at half-time.

On a Dish network DVR, of course - instant replay for everything (including
commercials), freeze frame, and the ability to jump back to live action at
the push of a button. Also PIP in case anyone insit on keeping up with side
events like last year's lame Lingerie Bowl.

But if a wish list movie is simultaneously playing DirecTiVo will catch
it, Dish DVR doesnt have wish lists.

Boo hoo. I can simply search the guide to see if the movie is playing in
the next 8 days.

You can also "simply" throw the whole thing away and resubscribe to TV
Guide, if you like. TiVo does some things better than Dish, and
WishLists are one of those things.

Time is money. No need to EVER search a guide with TiVo.

Wouldn't work for me. I don't want my receiver deciding what to record, I
can do that myself.

I've never had the auto record on for suggestions, just Wish List and
Season Passes. Too bad you never used a TiVo to understand how fabulous
it is.

I will be setting up seven consecutive 1-hour manual recordings,
so I can immediately delete segments without interesting commercials.
